Job description

We are looking for a Dental Nurse in Henfield to cover chair side duties and possible reception cover in our predominantly mixed dental practice .

Working in a newly refreshed, modern mixed practice, Fully computerised with R4. With Onsite care park, walking distance from town centre.

We have excellent COVID-19 precautions in place to protect both staff members and patients.

We aim to make patients feel comfortable and relaxed while providing them with dentistry of the highest quality.

You will be joining a friendly and cohesive dental team, very forward thinking and take great pride in patient and staff care and safety.

Attractive location, 15 min drive to Brighton city, 25 min to Gatwick airport and 15 min to the M23, and a short walk to the high street.

Key Tasks

• Set-up and prepare the surgery for the type of patient and treatment planned before the start of each session
• Clean and sterilize all equipment and working surfaces to the required standards at the end of each session
• Prepare the necessary materials and instruments
• Ensure safe disposal of sharps and clinical waste
• Keep all clinical areas including sterilizing room clean and tidy and assist in the correct procedure for dental radiography
• Provide clinical assistance to the dentist [hygienist/therapist] while treating the patient, acting under his/her supervision
• Assist the dentist or hygienist in the completion of patient records

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Salary: £11.00-£15.00 per hour depending on experience

Job Description

As an apprentice Dental Nurse you well be assisting with all clinical aspects within the surgery and providing patients with a high level of care. You will need to be unflappable under pressure and able to put people at ease. You will receive ongoing support, development and training to equip you with skills and knowledge required for a successful dental nursing career.

You daily activities could include:-

Assisting the dentist with providing treatments to patients

• Patient Care
• Setting up and cleaning surgery
• Sterilising Instruments
• Updating Patient Records
• Maintaining Equipment
• Preparing instruments and materials for various treatments
• Adhering to practice policies and procedures

During your apprenticeship you will development the skills require to support patients and dental staff in providing safe and effective treatment from simple check-ups to advanced specialist treatments.

Mallards Dental Practice is a busy practice, providing emergency dentistry to fillings to managing replacement of teeth and dentures. They service both NHS and private patients.
